In Japanese, kunoichi is the female warrior: precise, composed and powerful. Shinobi is discipline, control and mastery. Together, they stand for balance.

Kunoichi & Shinobi was born at The Garden MMA, a jiu-jitsu and Muay Thai gym at 4537 Wayne Ave in Philadelphia, run by Keren Fedida and Judah. Keren is a purple belt in jiu-jitsu. Judah is a black belt and a former professional fighter. Every piece we make gets tested on our own mats, in our own classes, before it ever reaches the store.
Why we started
You know the round where you spend half of it pulling your rashguard down, hitching your spats up and worrying about what's showing instead of where your grips are. We got tired of it. So we made gear that stays put.
Our compression fabric holds and smooths. It covers you completely, so you can roll freely without thinking about anything showing. Pull it on and it feels like armor. The only thing left to think about is training.

Our Warrior In The Garden rashguards come in rank colours, so the rashguard you roll in says where you are on the path: white, blue, purple, brown, and black with red. Prefer black as your base? The two-tone versions run your rank colour down the sides. And the yellow one isn't a rank at all. It's our nod to Bruce Lee and Kill Bill.

Our gear grew up alongside Warrior In The Garden, our women-only no-gi camp. Three camps in, it has brought together women from gyms and affiliations across the East Coast to train, learn, roll and connect. Campers wear our rashguards; the camp shapes what we make next.
